Ensure prompt and courteous service to clients and patients with billing laboratory and clinic questions over the phone.
Education: High school graduate or equivalent
Licensure/Certification: N/A

Experience: understanding and experience with Business Math; Excellent Customer Service skills over the phone; basic keyboard and computer skills; accurate data entry.
Language: Fluent in English and Spanish
Support billing and other inquiries over the phone or via e-mail from patients, clients and internal customers.
Resolve billing questions and gather credit card payments.
Post payments in the billing system accurately and timely.
Understand and maintain knowledge of insurance billing policies.
Understand the basics of other departments and how they interact with billing.
Understand and adhere to HIPAA policies, procedures and regulations.
Work assigned past due accounts and make collection calls.
Perform other work related duties as assigned (mail returns, adjustment reports).
Must be able to lift 30-40 lbs.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
