The Labor Foreman is responsible for all day-to-day activities and the organization of a construction site.
They are responsible for a number of tasks such as job site cleanliness, material unloading and storage, job site security systems and assisting the Superintendent and Assistant Superintendent.
Always represent LMC in a professional manner.
Ensure safety measures are always being adhered to OSHA and LMC standards.
Make sure all jobsite security systems are in good working order.
This includes site fencing, security cameras and all site signage is in place.
Maintain good relationships with jobsite neighbors through professional communications.
Enforce and follow the jobsite logistics and sequencing plan to ensure a good neighbor policy.
Keeping all site BMP's (best management practices) in working order to conform with local jurisdiction codes.
Maintain a clean job site and enforce good housekeeping practices among subcontractors.
Manage the loading and offloading of supplies and materials on and off the site.
Maintain a site visitor log and ensure all unauthorized personal are not allowed onsite.
Required skills needed for advancement to Foreman:
Show mastery in all duties outlined in Labor Foreman job description.
Advanced understanding and knowledge of jobsite safety and procedures.
Beginning basics on reading and understanding plans and details.
Basic understanding and knowledge of system software IE:
Procore, Word, Excel Basic knowledge of record keeping and log books i.
e:
material deliver, erosion control, safety logs, hot work and manpower logs.
Demonstrate the ability to manage and direct others.
