Conifer Health Solutions is currently hiring for a Patient Access Rep - ER Registration Specialist-FT, Sunday-Thursday, 3pm-11:30pm.
Essential Functions:

Admits patients into and discharges them from system. Complete all necessary paperwork/forms associated with admission and discharging of patients. Create a patient file with all appropriate documentation/forms necessary to initiate care. At discharge, patient charts are broken down according to Medical Record guidelines and sent to Medical Records

Schedules patients according to department guidelines or as requested. Contacts patients by phone that miss scheduled appointments to reschedule.

Processes daily billing slips. Enters charges into system on a daily basis. Maintains department statistics and submits them to the appropriate persons as requested. Checks tallied stats against charges in Meditech to ensure numbers match.

Keeps patient charts confidential and organized. Forms requiring physician signatures are sent out, received, and filed appropriately. Assists in keeping referrals, POCs, and insurance authorizations up to date. Provide all appropriate forms necessary to keep charts up to date and compliant with all appropriate standards.

Maintains department supplies. Orders supplies following department policies. Verifies received supplies against order manifest to help prevent mistakes. Keeps department manager informed of any errors or unusual purchases or expenses.

Produces dept correspondences and other materials as assigned. Perform all other clerical duties assigned by department manager.

Completes copied charts requests from medical records/CBO.

Registers patients for procedures, obtaining appropriate information and authorizations. Informs patients of rights, and gathers all information regarding advanced directives.

Processes dictation as needed. Sends copies of plans of care to transcription for coding in a timely manner.

Prepares reports as directed by supervisors.

Other duties as assigned.

Must be open to additional responsibilities as required by administration.
Education and
Experience:
High School graduate or GED required. Previous medical setting experience preferred-registration, scheduling, insurance. Experience with personal computers is required. Knowledge of Microsoft Windows applications is preferred. Medical terminology preferred.Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
